Here at Tips Up Fly Fishing, our main goal is one thing, to get that rod tip up. The more fish you've got on the line the more that rod tip will be up and bent. Tips up started with the way I spend my life. Thats either fly fishing or skiing. In both sports, the key to success is keeping your tip up. In flyfishing, managing your rod and line is likely more important than your cast and even before you catch a fish keeping your rod tip up and managing your slack will lead to more fish. With that said, a day on the river is much more than catching fish. We promise to provide you with an overall experience that will keep you coming back. Wether it be patience and a positive attitude all day long, to a personable experience catered to your needs. One things for sure you will hear "Tips Up" all day long.
My Story
My name is Neil Laskowski and I'm the owner of Tips Up Flyfishing. Fly Fishing has been a passion of mine since I was 10 years old. It started as a birthday tradition and developed into making life long friends in highschool over the bond of fly fishing. At the age of 18 I started guiding small creeks in Colorado. That led to working in a fly shop in Colorado for 2 years. Then to working and eventually managing a fly shop in Bozeman while guiding part time. Then to full time guiding the rivers in Montana for the last 8 years, to now, creating an outfitter running my own business. Fly fishing has taken me around the world to chase many species of fish. My past 13 years of working in the flyfishing industry have been a blast and I hope to continue to share the satisfaction and joy flyfishing has brought to me.
Vision
Tips Up is a small fly fishing outfitter. My goal is to bring a local feel to the fly fishing industry. I work hands on with bookings and the guiding. I will guide you through the booking process as well as on the water. I want your trip to feel personable and unique to what you are after. TIps Up can do group trips of various sizes and I hope to gather a core group of friends and guides to help Tips Up grow to the perfect size of experienced professionals to make your trip the best it can be.
